Our daughter is in summer school with the county taking history. Much to our disappointment she is not doing much better than during the school year. If she doesn’t pass this course, she is going to be behind in her credits for graduation. How can you help us?

You are right! Your daughter certainly needs to pass this course. Plus, you and she have invested time and effort on summer school. You want something to show for it!

The credit is obviously a major concern. Another is making sure your daughter understands the material. If this course is a prerequisite to a course she will be taking this fall it is very important that she not only gets the credit but understands the material.

We have tutors who can help your daughter pass the history course. We offer support for all summer school courses, including homework help, preparation for quizzes, tests and exams.

It certainly isn’t too late to salvage the grade.

We just received our daughter’s last report card for the school year, and it appears she will be going to summer school. We would like to know if you offer any summer school opportunities. If she takes a class through the county, our daughter will be with a large group of students and have the same teacher she had during the school year.

We do offer summer school or “course recovery” during the summer, with one-on-one instruction. This makes the program completely individualized. Not only will your daughter recover the course credit, but she will gain the knowledge the course was designed to deliver. This is very important if the course is a prerequisite to one she will be taking this fall.
